On February 21, 2025, the Albanian Muslim Society of Toronto proudly participated in a special event marking the 17th anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence. The celebration, held at the Albany Club in downtown Toronto, was organized by the Consulate General of Kosovo and the Association of Albanian-Canadian Community of Toronto.
This memorable evening brought together Albanian leaders, community members, and distinguished guests to honor this historic milestone. Representing our mosque, our board members and Imam Adnan Berbatovci had the privilege of attending, engaging in meaningful discussions, and celebrating the shared heritage and progress of the Albanian community.
The event highlighted Kosovo’s journey to independence, the resilience of its people, and the strong bonds that unite Albanians worldwide. Speeches, cultural performances, and reflections on Kosovo’s progress since 2008 made the evening both inspiring and uplifting.
As a community, we remain committed to preserving our culture, faith, and traditions while supporting Kosovo’s ongoing development. We are grateful to the organizers for hosting such a meaningful gathering and for providing an opportunity to connect and celebrate together.
