As we turn our clocks back one hour this weekend, we’re reminded of how precious time truly is. Beginning at midnight on Sunday, November 2, 2025, Daylight Saving Time ends across Toronto and much of Canada.
Please remember to set your clocks back one hour before Fajr on Sunday morning. As a result, prayer times will change starting Sunday, November 2.
🕌 Updated Prayer Times – Sunday, November 2, 2025
- Fajr (Imsaku): 5:35 AM
- Sunrise (Lindja e Diellit): 6:55 AM
- Dhuhr (Dreka): 12:01 PM
- Asr (Ikindia): 2:43 PM
- Maghrib (Akshami): 5:07 PM
- Isha (Jacia): 6:28 PM
We encourage all community members to double-check the new schedule before attending prayers at the mosque.
A Reflection on the Value of Time
The change of the clock offers us a moment to reflect on the passing of time — a blessing that Allah has given us and one we must use wisely.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free time before your preoccupation, and your life before your death.”
— Hadith, Ibn Abbas (Al-Hakim)
This hadith reminds us that time is a trust (amanah) — an opportunity to do good, draw nearer to Allah, and strengthen our community.
