On October 18, 2025, members of our Board of Directors and New Mosque and Cultural Centre Committee had the honour of attending the 110th Anniversary of the First Albanian Mosque in the United States and the 80th Anniversary of the Albanian American Muslim Society of Detroit. The event was hosted at the Albanian Islamic Center of Detroit in Harper Woods, Michigan.

The evening was both beautiful and historic, marking over a century of Albanian Muslim presence, faith, and cultural identity in North America. The program featured distinguished guest speakers, a documentary presentation, live performances, and a formal dinner that reflected the deep pride and unity within the Albanian community.

Guests and representatives from across the United States, Canada, and our homeland came together to celebrate this remarkable milestone. The event was not only a commemoration of the past but also a reflection of the strong foundations that continue to guide and inspire future generations of Albanian Muslims in the diaspora.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Imam Shuajb Gerguri and the entire organizing committee of the Albanian Islamic Center of Detroit for their warm hospitality and dedication in hosting such a memorable and meaningful celebration.

Our community in Canada was truly honoured to be represented and to share in this special occasion — a celebration of unity, faith, and cultural legacy that connects us all.
