Honorable member of the Albanian Muslim Society of Toronto,
Following the recommendations coming from the Canadian public health authorities, such as municipal, provincial and federal level, the Albanian Mosque in Toronto continues to be closed and consequently like last year, as never before, also this year the holy month of Ramadan will find us away from our Mosque, away from the our traditional Iftar in the Mosque, away from prayers – tarawihs and other religious and social lectures that always aim at calming the soul and strengthen the spirit, preserving and strengthening family traditions, and cultivating and raising the morale of our society! Also as a consequence of Covid-19, the general meeting that based on article 16 point 2 of the Statute of AMST should be held once a year, and above all this year is the time to elect the new board, will be postponed until the first moment that the conditions for its holding will be created.
Same As before, the board of AMST will continue to closely monitor Covid-19 situation and will make sure to notify all of you in timely manner for any possible change. To be as close as possible to you there will be continuous lectures on social networks by Imam Adnan Berbatovci. We appeal to all members of the Albanian Muslim Society of Toronto and all those family members you know that are not yet registered on the Mosque portal to contact us by sending the name of the head of the family and the contact e-mail to [email protected] as in the future our main communication will be through digital CRM.
On behalf of the board of the AMST and the Imam of the Albanian Mosque in Toronto, we ask the merciful God to accept your fasting, prayers and worship in this holy month of mercy and sacrifice! May Allah make it easy for you to keep fasts and grace you with the strength to do all the prayers!. Attached you will also find the Ramadan time table! May the peace and mercy of God be upon you and your families!
We ask the most Merciful God that this situation created as a result of Covid-19, to pass as soon as possible and without consequences!
