In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

The Albanian Muslim Society of Toronto Inc. is pleased to share a major milestone in the growth of our community. After several years of focused effort, disciplined planning, and active searching, we have secured an agreement to acquire a new mosque and community centre.

Property Location
124–126 Queens Plate Drive
Etobicoke, ON M9W 7K4

This property represents a strong fit for both our present needs and our long-term vision. It offers approximately 10,000 square feet of space, confirmed zoning for use as a place of worship, and a central Etobicoke location with access to ample shared parking. These factors position us to expand our capacity for prayer, programs, and community services in a practical and sustainable way.

Transaction Overview

Purchase Price: $5.5 million CAD
Closing Date: Wednesday, August 26, 2026

To date, we have secured $3.7 million CAD. We are now working to raise an additional $2.5 million CAD to complete the purchase and meet all closing requirements.

A Strategic and Responsible Step

This acquisition reflects a careful and structured approach. Since 2021, the Board has reviewed numerous properties across the Greater Toronto Area. Each opportunity was assessed against clear criteria, including size, zoning, accessibility, and financial feasibility. This property is the only one that met all requirements in a way that supports both immediate use and future growth.

The decision to proceed aligns with our responsibility to plan for a growing membership and to provide a space that supports religious practice, education, and community engagement.

Transition and Financial Commitment

There will be a defined transition period between our current mosque and the new location. During this time, we will retain our existing property to ensure continuity in services and programming.

As a result, the full amount required to complete the purchase must be secured by the closing date. This approach allows us to transition in an organized manner while maintaining stability for our members.

Community Engagement and Fundraising

Community participation will play a central role in this next phase. As part of our fundraising efforts, we will host a dedicated fundraising lunch on Saturday, May 30. This event will serve as a key moment to bring our community together around a shared objective.

Additional initiatives and events are planned to support this effort, and further details will be communicated directly to members.

Looking Ahead

This project is a long-term investment in the future of our community. It reflects years of preparation and the collective commitment of our members. The next phase requires focus, participation, and continued support.

We remain confident in our community’s ability to meet this goal and complete this important step forward.

We ask Allah to place barakah in this effort and to grant success in bringing this project to completion.

For updates and ways to contribute, members are encouraged to stay engaged through our official communications.
